Calicinto Ranch is a true dude ranch from the 1800’s. You can read all about it’s history on it’s website at www.calicintoranch.org. What you can’t read on the website is the incredible people that own and operate the ranch, the Pirelli Family.  The Pirelli Family bought the ranch in the 1970’s to raise their 11 children on, and in the mid-90’s began to utilized their amazing facilities to host Angel Tree children and give them the experience of going to summer camp.  Over the years they have given 1,000’s of children the chance to experience camp...for free. Friends Church partners with Calicinto Ranch to support, build and further this amazing ministry.

We love Calicinto Ranch so much that this will be our 3rd time to this location on a Roadside Service Trip. We brought students here for a day on our very first Roadside. 5 years ago we were able to spend an entire week at the ranch providing a camp experience for Project Angel Tree Kids, it was then that God gave us a vision for this years  trip.

During this next week, students will be doing various work projects around the ranch. 

Including painting, gardening, and ranch work. They will also be working together with their teams to put on chapels, sports games and rotation activities for LOT 318 campers.  LOT 318 is also one of Friends Churches Local Ministry Partners. Letty Gali, Savanna Buttacavoli and and army of volunteer leaders from Friends Church minister in the La Jolla neighborhood of Placentia.
